- Approved the appointment of Kate Grieco to the Environmental Advisory Council.
- Approved the purchase of 7.79 acres of land from the Estate of Thorkild S. Paaby for Open Space, connecting to Palmer Arboretum.
- Approved the purchase of fish from Crystal Springs Hatchery for the Annual Fishing Derby.
- Approved the purchase of a new Ford Super Cab pick up truck and snow plow equipment.
- Authorized the Township engineer to prepare a punch list for the Blantyre Subdivision dedication.

- Authorized the sponsorship of five PA state police officers to attend a criminal investigation seminar.
- Approved the repair of the roofs of all 3 township buildings by Hartland Roofing.

Message From The Chairman
My fellow Supervisors and I would like to take this opportunity to share with you some information and comments.
On February 12th we held our sixth annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner. This was a great time to extend our “Thanks” on behalf of the residents for all of the time our many volunteers give to the township. It was nice to have everyone together to let them know how much their efforts mean to the township. Thank you for your continued commitment to Thornbury Township!
On May 12th we will be celebrating our 325th birthday! Events will be starting at 3pm and ending at 8pm. We expect a fantastic turnout for this event, please save the date on your calendar. We are working with Thornbury Chester County on this event, as you are aware, we were all one municipality for many years and we felt we should be together for our 325th. We are working out all of the details and welcome your ideas, contact Susan at the township building and share your thoughts.
Take this time to check the batteries in your smoke detectors. If anyone needs a smoke detector for your home, stop by the township building and we will supply one for you. We want to make sure you and your family are safe and sound.
With spring in the air and those winter thoughts turning into projects, think of your neighbors. Sometimes working together can save you time and money along with building great relationships. Our staff is always there to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have regarding your projects.
In closing, have a tremendous Spring, and we will see you around town!
