Notice of Suspicious Vehicle in the Area  The township has been informed of a suspicious vehicle traveling within the township during the weekend of 3-6-10. . The vehicle was identified as a maroon Subaru Forrester. We have been in contact with the State Police and they are aware of the concern. If you become aware of this vehicle or any other suspicious activity, residents are encouraged to contact the State Police at 484-840-1000 immediately.

10/16/09 Update. Notice of Burglaries/Suspicious Activity in the area. Please be advised that there have been reports of daytime burglaries throughout the Township as well as reports of suspicious vehicles. The State Police have requested that residents call 484-840-1000 to report all suspicious activity and alert their neighbors of suspicious activity. Patrols in the area have been increased. It has been reported that the perpetrators are casing homes in advance to determine when residents are not at home and that some of the homes have dogs and were still burglarized. Please take precautions to avoid being victimized.

Emergency Preparedness Information


RABIES FOUND IN DELAWARE COUNTY - if you should find a bat in your home please notify animal control. Bats are considered high-risk exposure for rabies. Their saliva or body fluids, by being splashed on you, or something you might touch, can put you at risk. If a contact incident occurs or cannot be ruled out, the animal should be tested for rabies. People who have likely been contacted should seek medical advice immediately. All calls involving bats, please notify animal control immediately at delaware county animal control 610-522-1113 24 hours/7 days a week. Locksley
Garden Club Scholarship Opportunity

The Locksley Garden Club is pleased to offer a scholarship toward higher education to a student planning to pursue a career in the plant sciences.  For more information, please contact Mary Ann Watson at 610-399-0426.

 

Thornbury Township resident, Stephen Krystow, is the winner of the Locksley Garden Club Horticultural Scholarship. Stephen graduated from Bayard Rustin High School in June and will attend Delaware Valley College. He plans to major in turf management.
