Clean Water Action, a national non-profit citizen's lobby, will be doing their annual canvass of the Township in the near future. The door-to-door campaign will include education on specific legislative issues and fundraising for lobbying efforts on the community's behalf. This canvass operates within the Supreme Court-approved hours of 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm Monday through Friday and from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm Saturdays.

Adult mosquito surveillance is being undertaken throughout Delaware County in cooperation with the PA Department of Environmental Protection to track the West Nile Virus. Traps will be set by surveillance personnel in the late afternoon and will be picked up the following morning. All traps should have identification labels and should not be disturbed. Questions? BATS ARE CONSIDERED HIGH-RISK EXPOSURE FOR RABIES. THEIR SALIVA OR BODY FLUIDS, BY BEING SPLASHED ON YOU, OR SOMETHING YOU MIGHT TOUCH, CAN PUT YOU AT RISK. IF A CONTACT INCIDENT OCCURS OR CANNOT BE RULED OUT, THE ANIMAL SHOULD BE TESTED FOR RABIES. PEOPLE WHO HAVE LIKELY BEEN CONTACTED SHOULD SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE IMMEDIATELY.
