 From the Chairman Minimize

My fellow Supervisors and I would like to take this opportunity to share with you some information and comments.

With the beautiful weather upon us, please enjoy or parks.  Once again we will be having our Fourth Friday of every month during the summer; last year was a “BLAST”.  We have many areas to explore around our township besides Thornbury Park.  Our passive recreation is second to none, we have Bonner Park, Martin Park, and Palmer Arboretum (we have just approved the enhancement project for the Arboretum).  We have brochures available at the township building showing trails that have been established through the woods by our volunteer boards.   The peace and tranquility will make you come back!

The summer months can get very hot, please make sure you hydrate before you take on activities.  Pay attention to your children, your neighbors children, and to those who may live alone.  We are a caring community and want everyone to be safe through these warm months.

The board recently passed a resolution that all residential properties applying for alternate energy permits will be free of charge, all others applying will receive a 50% reduction.  This is our way of saying “thanks” to those who are working for our environment.

If anyone is interested in serving the township on any of our volunteer boards or committees, please send us a note and we will let you know when positions come available.

In closing, have a great summer, and we will see you around town!

Jim Raith, Chairman

Board of Supervisors
